Thailand brought its resident ambassadors to see its deceitful performance in the play accusing Cambodia of laying landmines

This action was carried out after Cambodia had earlier taken ambassadors to view the actual situation last week, following the end of the five-day war.

The staged performance to deceive the ambassadors has caused great disappointment among international observers, mine experts, and even the ambassadors themselves, who criticized Thailand’s unreasonable act of deception.

The President of CMAC, a mine specialist, provided clarification by comparing the difference between real PMN-2 mines and the staged PMN-2 mines that Thailand had prepared in advance for the presentation to diplomats. All of the mines shown to the ambassadors were ones whose detonation mechanisms had already been removed. No matter how much pressure was applied, they could not cause any danger. Moreover, if Cambodia had actually planted them, it would have been impossible for the detonator parts to remain together with the mines.

This confirmed that Thailand had staged a deceptive performance for the ambassadors.
